Enigmatic Enchantment

Sultry sweat and dried tattoos
of sand that marked the desert entrapped astray.
Desiccated and deranged,
fighting and purging 
she was slowly dissipating, 
surrendering,
as the tempestuous Sun 
tamed the malevolent within.

Entranced, ignorantly threshing the relentless grains of sand
with her instrumental body.
Enraging elemental gusts
carried and tossed her along
the hypnotic cliff-dunes.

Charmed beyond the vacillate wind
her erratic yet lyrical journey illuded,
abandoned in serenity, bare,
atop the magnificent cliffs,
balancing on the bleeding edge.

Demanding and thrashing far below,
the effervescent surface of Ocean's abyss.
Seduced she leaped,
plunging into the treacherous nautical currents.
She ascended,
battered and ravaged,
gasping for air falling unconscious. Great mystery above her and magic below,
as her empty vessel was carried by the ebb and flow.

Washed upon the ancient encrypted shore,
her arduous body heavy,
she lay defeated by her afflictions.
Memory washed by the sea.

Yet a familiarity
A pain, a hunger...
Under the rising tempestuous sun
an enigmatic journey again,
had begun.
