Enough To Make Your Eyes Water

Standing at the bungee jump was a nerve racking start,
similar ike trying to saisfy all the strings of your heart;
I didn't have to do this - changed my mind halfway down,
'Too late,' she cried, now prove yo'ure the bravest in town.

We all stand on the brink but not as bad as you think,
I'm too old for all of this - your heart may start to sink,
how old will you be if you don't do it - the same, wink, winlk,
it will all be over, confined to history, before you can blink.

Remember, sometimes we don't look forward to some events,
I've had it 'easy,' so why do I wrestle with what makes sense?
Ever since I had my own way, a recipe for disaster they say,
that was unnecessary, it was just a jump to the left, so okay.

Oh yes, those heart-strings - a temporary reprieve, you clown,
don't forget, the next time you have problems - don't look down,
