was enchroached

laughter

as being

we are
being

We do though
have a
voice

In this poem, I wanted to bring out some emotions that a Young Man feels when he has been violated.ย Our society treats males differently when it comes to this.ย The hurt and shame is enormous.ย The challenge of our Masculinity is at stake.ย I actually challenge the reader as to how they react on this material, to be honest with themselves.ย If this was written by a woman , would it be received in a different way?ย I think it would.
The fact is no one should be a victim of sexual assault and when they are, everyone regardless of gender, or race, the voice should be heard and taken seriously.
