Epiphany

why do we "fall in love" ?
why can't we land in love ?
maybe because falling in love means you've stepped into a gaping abyss ,
and no matter how much you try to stop the the fall ,
no matter how hard you try to land back in reality ,
realizing hitting rock bottom isn't worth the pleasure love seldom brings ,
you never get to land in love ,
you just fall.
