Essie McGowan

If believin is a sin
then thank the fairy folk
she believed in.....
Treasures beyond the tongue
given, meant not,
as spoils to blind ears
Life behind
in eon years
world is old, you are not
Well kept alive
forced traveller's fears
rocked.....ship floor to rot.
Still a wasted crumb
can get divine by
Expose a well of proceeding life
A whore, a thief
yet none of them
show your heart,
Missed blessings a mistake
repeat
give body not mind,
make a new start.
Where's room for it
in the land of the free
bite your tongue
catch back up to eons of life,
Become the good wife
forget....and let
gods chase their own tales
Forget-less,
always finding misplaced faith
fading out with truthful lies
Spread not
upon captured listeners,
but haunting to believer's eyes.
Essie McGowan.
In their hands you put life.
Why shouldn't it be.....
Them to take it.

My Dear Brother Poet Devon,
Our poet writes of the "McGowan Girl"
And the "Fairy Folk" whom she'd trust
Puerile and so innocent
"True lies" upon her thrust
Yet as she got a little older
She saw in different light
Her questions had been answered
With responses never right
Now she's become a total woman
Casting these liars from her life
Erasing all they taught her
To become the perfect wife
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
It is truly incredible how your able to do that so quickly....I can write something quick but I don't think it would be consistently good. Enjoy your poetic comments. If you get a chance check out American Gods on Starz....it is an amazingly awesome show.
Love and peace my brother.Â
Sometimes I worry that I am misinterpreting the poets meaning, but then I think many works have several ways to ingest them, and are open for ones' own interpretation. Â I am so happy that you enjoy them. Â I promise you that Linda and I will check out the show American Gods.
Peace and Love,
