Etched in You

My darling you may miss me
And wish for a place to feel
That I can again be with thee
Tranquil garden for us to heal

You may want to decorate
The place that I rest in peace
As a way to commemorate
The life you wish didn't ceace

Or somewhere I was set free
When shaken into wind I was carried
Over stunning landscapes and sea
A mark where me and earth married

Don't carve my name onto stone
No need to state my end or start
Through you I will become well known
I left a deep imprint on your heart

You carry me with you everywhere
In the stories you excitedly tell
Through you it's also my words you share
Etched in your mind which nothing can quell

The lost chapter

Everyday the etched name Burns me deeply tho I pretend the fire does not hurt me it's only because I lie to myself only to stop the burns from growing each day that passes by I wish I could turn back time to the day the fire spread I could extinguish the flames before they turned us to Ash as all I have is memories and an etched name at my side that reminds me of everything that fire took that I loved.
