Eternal Rest

~~I'm lost
 Where am I? How did I get here?
 My body wounded and limb
 I hear voices of agony
 What happened?
 My life dissipating within a blink of an eye
 I'm drifting towards the light
 Flashbacks of my life wash over my brain
 I've hated
 I've loved
 I've lost
 And now I'm about to go
 What have I done to be leaving so early?
 So much I'm leaving behind
 A legacy yet unborn
 The light appears to be brighter
 The future I now see
 What could've been
 Death at my feet dragging me along
 I wish I could do it all over again
 Another shot at life
 Make better choices
 Rectify the mistakes
 But now it's too late
 Now I wish I had lived in the present instead the future
 Efforts for the future gone in vain
 Bombardment of these thoughts so overwhelming
 I've gone blank, emotionless and stagnant
 I'm lifeless
 Darkness fills my soul
 And the light envelopes me
 I'm gone......
