Eulogy of a lost cause
A poem of unfulfilled dreams

A cause once held, with passion's fire,
A dream so bold, that it would inspire.
With hope and love, it was begun,
A journey long, but one well done.
Β
But fate, it seems, can be so cruel,
And crush the dreams, that once were full.
The cause is lost, and with it gone,
The spirit too, with a sigh of dawn.
Β
Yet, in the heart, the memory remains,
A flame that burns, and calls out names.
Of all the hopes, and all the dreams,
That once were alive, and now just gleams.
Β
So let us mourn, this lost cause bright,
And in its memory, find the light.
For though the dream, may now be dead,
Its spirit lives, in the heart and head.
