Even my dogs got me writing poem
Rogue!
By nature and by name,
She has lusive moments,
And moments when she’s pure insane.
That’s my dog rogue,
By nature,
By name.
She’s a dog of many traits and a massive brain,
A dog that’s crazy lovely but seemingly impossible to train.
She’s to smart for her own good,
And picky with her choice of food,
But we love our rogue and her friendly set mood.
She loves her walks,
But when she’s even a scent of one,
everything about her changes,
Even down to her eyes,
A feral wolf that’s impossible to stop from searching every hook and cranny and even every houses drives and even storm drains!
She nervous though,
Right to the core,
She went missing for 5 days,
Which could have easily been more thinking now?
We were lucky to have her back safe and sound,
Especially after being run over on a live train track,
But had the sense and brain capacity to survive and lie down.
Her pads were worn where here skin on the base of her feet where bare and making her whimper,
Making her moan.
She was emaciated,
Nothing but skin n bone,
But promptly started putting on weight once we got her home.
She’s happy now with the love we give,
But she hasn’t forgotten the 5 days that she was on her own to live!
So that’s the story of our dog named rogue,
In her 5 days disappearance alone
Over 500 miles that her body had made,
By forest,Â
Roads and farmers land.
She’s so happy to be home,
You can tell with her tails as is on constant wag.
Although she is nervous,
Slowly her confidence gains,
But out on her walks,
Her dissappearnce,
You can tell,
Has altered her whole mind,
Feom excitement to scared,
she now pees on the ground.
Let us just hope that soon,
Her confidence she’ll find!
At home,
She’s loving and soft and gives you kisses in kind,
She’s loyal and protective and the best doggy find!
