-Everyday Epiphany

She comes in view

A vision of light in familiar places

His eyes soften    

 Beholding her Aurora Borealis  

Enchantment inhabits her subtle movements  

Radiance alive in playful glances

 Suspending his thoughts to fascination,

She walks with unassuming grace; a       

Prima ballerina in blue cotton pajamas   

Green eyes flame his soul with illumination

  Ethereal comeliness caressing her mortal skin

  Lips speaking, ordinary words waxing poetic

Caught up in this newly minted epiphany

His glance lingers a moment too long;

“What would you like for breakfast?”

She blushes

“My hunger lies below the waist”

He utters

“Why do you stare, in such a fashion?”

“You are more beautiful”—he offers, and

Mona Lisa never had,

 This sweet smile painted on her face
