-Everyday Epiphany

She comes in view
A vision of light in familiar places
His eyes soften   Â
 Beholding her Aurora Borealis Â
Enchantment inhabits her subtle movements Â
Radiance alive in playful glances
 Suspending his thoughts to fascination,
She walks with unassuming grace; a      Â
Prima ballerina in blue cotton pajamas  Â
Green eyes flame his soul with illumination
Ethereal comeliness caressing her mortal skin
Lips speaking, ordinary words waxing poetic
Caught up in this newly minted epiphany
His glance lingers a moment too long;
“What would you like for breakfast?”
She blushes
“My hunger lies below the waist”
He utters
“Why do you stare, in such a fashion?”
“You are more beautiful”—he offers, and
Mona Lisa never had,
This sweet smile painted on her face    Â
