Poem -

Ex Smoker

Almost a
year
without
the
little stick
that caused
me a heart ♥️ attack
and Kidney Cancer
st the age of 42

my car
no longer
smells like
an ash tray
and My fingers
are not yellow

I willingly
put myself
in bondage
at 13
It cost me
my teeth
plenty Of jobs
i was a slave
to the calm
feeling it
provided.

Today
i am
52
not
young
not old
but I am at
the age
where
saying
goodbye
was well overdue

My Dear Greg,

Bravo!  Three cheers for you!
I have never smoked, but I have been told that it is the hardest habit to break.
I can always tell when I'm exposed to a smoker, because they carry a sickening stench.
I also have noticed, that ex-smokers, are the most ardent anti-smoking promoters.
Congratulations again.

Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
