"EXHORTATION"
I could gaze upon you
Never growing weary
A portrait in a castle room
Your beauty captivates me
The cloak of luminosity
Cascading at sunset
Spring when the winter
Seeks to rest
Adam's ale blocks out the sun
Now the floods are rising
With the smoke from lungs
As the sky is crying
Tendrils in the clouds
That weren't there before
Saturate and suffuse
A gathering storm
Despondency echoing the longing
Come to naught declined
Fore nothing will cease
The rain from mine eyes
Unadulterated runes in frayed
journals
Which would have otherwise
Been swept out of the gates
With the dust of my filtered mind
Whether it be day
Whether it be night
How my soul sighs
In every script I devise
My deepest darkest divulgence
Thoughts are tumbleweeds in my head
The most vulnerable elements of my inner self
Pausing to clasp a breath
In the extent of my shell
We claimed reconciliation
Somehow, some day
Some way
Here I wait
What exhortation to remember
Yet I'll always remember.

Dear Mr WOLF!!
It's interesting to me how you use the word "EXHORTATION" here.....I've always heard it in the context of Biblical or Church related oration.....But here you use it as a longing and the poem itself as the oration.....it's very clever....and the body of work is truly compelling ~
