drift on spiny branch finger
wasted tacky birds drop
dead from snow-filled eye
depth the waking
sacred marble
sinking pledges
turn the palm
flayed flesh pads
float serene
on smooth mirrors

moulded books
read aloud from printed lip
sacrifice and scented pleasure
adrift in a tinted glass
youth in effort
launch thunderbolts
 harmless as aged goliath
defends another pass

breaking through a filmed surface
 enter as intended
vanish
before that forgotten description
I am gone
no myth
or chanted chorus
no more
will echo haunt the dreaded words
