Existence

Existence

I'm going deep into the psyche on an emotion ship,
A swaying asylum, rolling in the deep,
Floating on an ocean of torture among bloody waves,
Pain as fresh as names embossed on our graves.

I absorb the toxic spewing from your mouth,
Without spitting venom, you feel drought.
Radioactive, you’re afraid to come near me,
Drowning in my tears as deep as the sea.

Heavy eyelids washed in water of rebirth,
Time to ask questions, how much are we worth?
A civilization without a future living in solitude,
Murders with words, in an everlasting feud.

~ "I'm going deep into the psyche on an emotion ship
A swaying asylum, rolling in the deep..."

VERY, VERY, powerful opening to a poem.......you have the reader in the palm of your hand with these marvelous lines......and then feed them a ton of poetic food for thought!!......."Heavy eyelids washed in waters of rebirth.".......ALL STARS & PINNED!!.......well conceived and well delivered!!.....Bravo!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo  : )
