Paused Flight

Paused Flight

Snatched from sleep and blinded by life’s light,
The incessant heartbeat that starts the wretched flight,
Scars in your eyes predict terrible miseries,
You slurp your mother’s tears and taste her fears,
A brazen diagnosis forces an unelectable choice,
Dabbling innocent yet you hear your father’s trembling voice,
Foolish pigs in suits get unhealthily aroused,
When your faith is being immediately despised,
Thieves in cassocks support their decisions,
As, if they object they’ll lose their provisions,
Unwanted truth shows the bitter reality,
Only one leaf less on our beautiful tree,
The decision was made based only on cash,
At your arrival you’ll end up in the bin like a piece of trash.
