Bittersweet Pain

Bittersweet Pain

Dried faces covered with dust and sand,
Mourning of our regrets, wooden cages under ground,
Bloody inscriptions written on unkept gravestones,
Abandoned flesh on a scattered pile of bones,
Bursting ulcers in the human theatre,
Wonderful aroma of corpse, prayers uttered,
Garlands entwined with great faith,
Torn with satisfaction by weariness and death,
Remains of skin gouged out from snapping teeth,
Fingernails hung on a decrepit door like a wreath,
The constant sight of decaying meat,
Groans and human torment tastes bittersweet.
