‘Eye-spy’ Crusading Camels?

‘Fresh as a daisy’ ramblers
Glimpse in my window
As they wander on by
The speediness of their expedition amuses my eager eye
Back-packed with essentials
Looking like crusading camels
Cumbersome, canvas cavities,
Collasal, outdoor trammels
Heavy, sturdy walking boots
Probably pricey, waterproofs
Are boot-laced, tied in double knots to protect their fragile hoofs
A dozen or more aged couples
I bet they’re from a rambling club
Let’s hope they are carrying beverages
This circular route doesn’t see a pub
Whilst they will clamber up hillocks & meander along little brooks
There are obstacles that befall them
Nettled copses in hedgerow nooks
The present weather isn’t what I’d call
An ideal walking day
Whilst it’s dry through lack of moisture
The sizzling sun is out to stay
These smiley wanderer’s may not be so happy on their return
They are muffled up like eskimos
That big hot sun is out to burn
So I will watch out of my window
I’ll give them approximately three hours
Then you can bet I will apprehend
Twenty four tiresome wilted flowers
I shall smile at them, in appraisal for the plight they have completed
Then direct them to the pub to compensate for ‘Over-heated’
