EYES

The eyes are the windows to the soul, 
So when you look into my eyes you will see everything I hold dear,
Every smile I ever saw and every tear I ever shed.
Every person I ever met and every dog I ever pet.
Every screen I ever watched and every paint I ever swatched. 
Every friend I ever made and every ocean in which I’ve bathed.
Every hug I ever had and every useless fact my mind has saved.
Every forest I have strolled through and every thrilling thing I could do.
Every fight that I regret and every goal I ever set.
Every animal I homed and every flower that I’ve bowled. 
Every sunset that had me hypnotised and every starry night reflected in his eyes.
Every picture I have taken and every painful memory I’m replacing.
Every book that I have read and every word that I have said.
My eyes are not just the windows to my soul but everything else instead...
