FACES OF CLAY

Who smiles in your face with hatred
In their hearts..
Faces of clay
An envious friend in the way
Who tells your secrets
When the conversation ends..
Faces of clay
Whose lips spills gossips
Every day
Who says I love you
With a warm embrace
But deadly venom
Saturates their kiss..
Faces of clay
One who calls you brother
At the end of the day
O!!
The deceitfulness
Of a man's tongue
His lips speaks words of peace
But deep within, his heart of envy
Like an inferno burns.

Wow Wilford this is EPIC, how often have we been stung by someone who appears to begin by showing good true intent. Nothing is ever quite what it seems sadly. I loved the use of faces of clay, and how that continued to shape and form this piece. Just like clay itself shapes and forms. This is a very clever write my talented poet, absolutely superb
