FACES WENT WHITE

FACES WENT WHITE

FACES WENT WHITE

Ricardo Antonio Garcia

Legends of minds

conferencing the future, all

have an air of confusion.

Space does not

afford an empty seat for Christ

for nail driving aspirations

solely belong to the sufferer.

Solving War with peace talks.

Solving

environmental hazards with air walks.

Anyone for the Soul?

Anyone have the courage to speak

on Gods behalf?

One old woman, a woman of Wisdom stands.

A Bible in hand

she says that God is dead in this room

and that their children are unaware

that we will bow

to the material kings of this existence

but are devoid

of a Spiritual counterpart.

She says

she will cry 'one tear' for the ignorance

and 'one tear' for their Salvation.

Placing the Bible on her chair

she leaves the room.

Whispering echoes

trail her as she walks through the door

and women

not the men, follow her out.

Before leaving the building she turns around

and sees

the weeping woman in the crowd.

She says to them:

those that weep for my Son come forward.

She continues to say:

you cannot fix a World in withering decay.

When I walk through the buildings door

I will be gone.

If you wish to follow me

I will take you to Jesus Christ.

She says:

there is no greater love

there are no possessions that can take His place.

A woman in the crowd shouts:

but what of my Son’s and Daughters

– just leaving them?

(momentary silence)

Jesus materializes to the side of the old woman  …

Which one of you

will stay and which one of you will leave?

(momentary silence)

A flash at a time

every woman disappears into a haze.

Silence overcomes the empty room.

Jesus walks into the conference room.

Laying nails on the speakers desk

he turns around and says:

You kill yourselves and propagate the nails.

Which one of you

would like to crucify me again?

Faces went white.
