Faces Without Traces

I know of faces of friends that were lost.
Traces of them I have not seen.
For I will pay a price at my own accost.
Amongst many friends on a path between.

I have drifted from group to group and I have not stood still.
There are many friends that are just traces without faces.
Of long winding roads, the wind so cold of a chill.
Many of these places are only memories and forgotten cases.

Baron fields and abandoned buildings.
I can still see illusions trick the eyes.
For have I waited too long to feel for now the pain stings.
To hear a familiar voice many that are a surprise.

I'll talk to them again just not right now.
Faces without traces will meet again I just don't know how.
