Faded Back To Whence We Came

Faded Back To Whence We Came

Woe!

......The unfortunate journey

Where living specters blind, to shadow play.

Best to bask in the sun

while still, extinguishing it's rays,

Those lover's of light

Burn't out too quick.

.........Better now in solace found

Cooling flame in night's darkening shades

Getting use to an idea,

Forever watching, day revolve

From a far, through tunnel vision.

...........What is this desire

To bathe in brilliance

Though I find something so comfortably wrong

Within the ever inviting dark.

.......Now a hazy name, quickly forgotten face,

Give thy twilight o'ver limelight

Much more prominent in nocturnal way,

Fading less into gloomy nothingness

Leisurely slipping, uncertainly into the grey.

Loved this, an the title is sooo provocatively delicious, I see inevitable death an that tunnel of light some speak of...but before it happens just make sure you had some fun on the way, Charon is gonna have drag me kicking and screaming :)

Thanks TA, I happen to love the initials of your name wink wink. Death is indeed inevitable, and I am as comfortable in the dark as iam in the light. Can't say I live to the fullest everyday that would be a lie when iam restricted by obligations in the loving service of others, but when I can have fun I make the best of it. Much appreciation for your fondness of my write.

Heya Devon, who does live life to fullest everyday ? Rat race gets in the way most days, but every now an then we must all look up from our blinkers an see the sun and stars...as for darkness...well if darkness didn't exist then light wouldn't be so bright :)

Wassup D!!?!.........this is VERY artistic bro..........as I read It seemed to be very interpretive as some of your comments suggest........sometimes I like to allow the reader wiggle room which you did beautifully here........for me........the gray was the Anubis which guides the soul from death to its next destination.......like "The Boatman" that takes you across the river Styx...........as for the rest ~ the perpetual darkness and light of life.........one consistently leading into the other was brilliantly accessible through your blisteringly cool images flowing in and out..........this is one of my Fav's from the ever evolving work of my brother from another mother (smiles)..........very Salvador Dali of you bro!!...........T xo

How awesome of a comment is this. T you are awesome my brother, you definitely referenced an Egyptian god and a greek and roman mythology ferryman in one comment thats great lol. With all this inspiration flowing around me its hard not to evolve. The very Salvador Dali was thr icing thanks for that man. Always a pleasure reading your comments. Smiles. Your friend D.
