Poem -

Fagan The Leprechaun,

As i was walking home ond day across my nabour´s field,

i heard a voice deep in the wood´s indeed i had to yeald,

this crying voice howled through the air and i just had to see,

but as i got closer to the wood´s a fear came over me,

Through bush and brier´s, percing  thorns and a plowed up field of corn ,

i stoped to see in front of me a little leprechaun,

stuck upside down in a black thorn tree he glanced up at me ,

my name is paddy fagan iam in a bother can´t you see ,

i stood there in total shock i couldn´t say a word ,

my eyes are playing tricks with me it´s just a little bird ,

he said , have you come to help me for i am o so cold ,

or have you come to take away my only pot of gold ,

I am not a thier or robber but help you  i will indeed,

for i would frown  if upside down and stuck in a black thorn tree,

I helped him out of his despair and placed him on the ground,

saying , thank you sir for helping me good riches you have found ,

I´ll give you three wishes sir ,

on this fine fresh day,

you saved me from my thorny trap ,

when you could have walked away ,

Thanky you mr fagan butt hree wishes i do not need ,

everything in life i have i am not a man of greed,

then i shall be leaving and again i thank you sir ,

as fagan vanished in the evening mist as nothing did accou,

NOW 20 years have past and how life has changed for me ,

sometimes life won´t treat you right and with that i can agree,

those three wishes i dident need i could do with them today ,

o why did i not see why did i look the other way ,

The moral to my story  is´if ever you meet fagan,

if he offer´s you three wishes for goodness  sake take them ,

i had a chance to change my life , but i didn´t need them then

mr fagan will only ask you once and fagan  won´t ask again

THE END
