FAILED ATTEMPT

Fine detail leave nothing to chance 
Burglars were they that was their stance
A painting in the Louvre was their desire
Difficult to pull off but God loves a tryer 

The robbery day things started to go wrong 
Undercover cops spotted them all day long
Arrested on sight the burglars were caught 
The audacious plan fell completely short 

The painting still hangs proudly and serene 
Unaware no doubt of what might have been
The burglars will spend their time in jail 
Putting an end to this enjoyable little tale
