Failing at praying mantis
The story of a creature
who's one and only goal
to find a girl worthy of his love
Searching high and low
Scouring the tree tops
And finally at the days endĀ
he sees a girl
the one from his dreams
She sits on a flower
hands folded neatly in prayer.
Silently he approaches
what thrills await as he nears
his heart slows. Ā ... Ā Ā ... Ā ...
his breath quickens~~~~
Will he be accepted?
Perfectly angelic
and still sitting all alone
he decides to walk up
and make his approach
Carefully thought out words
no sweeter words have ever been heard
than when he spoke of his desiresĀ
whispered them into her ear.
She nods her head and smiles
and he goes behindĀ
and enters into temptation
and he says thank you in a prayer
The passion builds
and it was a strong pang of love
that he felt when all of a sudden
all his feelings were released
from his body to the girl's
She grabs him
in the sweetest
mostĀ brutal
Last embrace
the suitor will ever know
The price of his love
was too high
for it cost the lad his life.
She sits and folds her hands
in prayer.
She licks her lipsĀ riddanceĀ
of a lovers tale thatĀ
she wouldn't dare to tell.
The tragedy for the offspring who will never knowĀ
that daddy loves mommy so.
Prayers are sometimes answered
no.Ā Ā
