faith

faith

the drizzle we don't seeĀ
doesn’t get us wet, that is said
not that it is not cold
not that it doesn’t hurt our faces orĀ
our need to carry onĀ
what the eye doesn't see
the heart doesn't grieve over
Ā
I have a mark on my noseĀ
from all the glasses I've wornĀ
since I was a child
sometimes it is a reliefĀ
not to strain my eyes to seeĀ
what they cannot
I close themĀ
to feel the drizzle or
the warmth of the sun over my faceĀ
to feed my spirit with thatĀ
I cannot seeĀ
but feelĀ
