Fake & Frolics.

Fake & Frolics.
Lee.
He joked and laughed,
Was charismatically fake.
Selling lies to the girl whose trust he’d take.
So desperate to be loved,
She ignored the signs,
Believed what she needed,
All his chessiest lines.
In the taxi home they continued to flirt;
Him, a surgeon of love who’d cut out the hurt.
Dainty, drunken hands keyed her front door,
She’d offer him coffee but give him so much more.
Awake and alone in the morning,
She doesn’t want to get up,
Her mood black and cold,
Like his coffee filled cup.
