False Consciousness: ( Inspired By Plato's Allegory Of The Cave)

People sit and watch
shadow plays on their cave walls.
They are unaware
of the true Light outside of
their snug, little worlds.
Obsessed with gadgets and screens,
that possess their dreams ,
they ' re spellbound by trivial
and futile things. They're
are easy to hypnotise
via media
spectacles. Henceforth, they
can easily be
manipulated by those
who want to maintain
prevailing orthodoxies.
That's how Power works.
Only a revolution
in consciousness will
change the rigid status quo.
Some have wandered far
away from the same old ground,
and perceived the Light.
At least there is hope in that.
