Lost

Lost

Nimiety of recluse in drones,
Sat pondering the universe through phones,
Exhausting our efforts to compete,
Our lives are no longer discreet.

Drive to excess for success,
Remains of sombre and stress,
Incessant in deluded view,
That another has better than you.

To measure ourselves is insane,
Yet our demons we seldom refrain,
Tis a journey unwarranted in dread,
Our worries are all in our head.

Connected we fall inside,
Social media infecting our mind,
Blinded by technical prowess,
We lose track of the natural outside.

Brilliant Simon, hard hitting, I totally agree with this,

our lives are no longer discreet

This is so true, spoken like a true uni-bomer.

Thank you Gerard.  I feel that's all we have become comparing our lives to everyone else's and missing out on what's truly important!
