Poem -

Family

I laugh at jokes I don't understandĀ
with people that don't know who I am
in a place that's suppose to feel like home
when will I feel I belong?

The want to run is never far away
in this place that I am suppose to feel safe
with these people that I call my family
the people that IĀ love?

I wish I could be the child I amĀ
but the pain of the knownĀ
is hard to forgetĀ
when all you can do is think about it.

They say knowledge is suppose to help you grow
but in the end it seems to destroy everything you know.
