Farewell
i need an angel,
one who will stay
by my side, as the
demons attempt to
drag me down.
i need an angel,
one who will not
abandon me, as the
fire begins to burn,
hotter, out of control.
i need an angel,
one who will stand
next to me, as the
world crumbles from
my footsteps.
i need an angel,
one who will catch
me, as i fall, as i
plummet to the hard,
stoney ground below.
i need an angel,
one who will hold
on as i rage and
cry purging the
anger within.
i need an angel.

Ben this was a great poem; loved the structure and the use of repetition on each stanza, the first line starting 'I need an angel' then the variation to the reasoning behind. Ā Written very well with a layout that made reading your work a pleasure. Ā Great end also; so sad. Ā I really like your style in this write and look forward to reading more from you.
