Farewell

How far do we say good bye?

How long do until the next good night?

This is one hell of a road to drive.

This life was mine but as I give it to you theres something more to find.

You found this rusted pearl and made it yours to shine.

The length of my good bye has no match against the love I hold until I die.

So I’m here to say its fine, you wanted to catch me when I fell,

only its my choice, and I must say farewell.

Why do the stars twinkle so bright?

Why is the moon so far out of sight?

This is a battle we win because we love to fight.

Only I don’t survive, the heat got to hot, boiling like a stove.

You be my Jack and I’ll be your Rose.

Let go, let me free.

You too can now be.

I am pained- you my world I have to leave.

I know I must go, my hands trembling, eyes are blurring.

The words I speak are slurring- thoughts stirring.

I wish you my love, send you my kiss, be well.

To my love, my friend, my boyfriend, farewell.....
