Farewell December 🎄

These two things I value highly, and way above rich wealth

You arrived as I was busy buying presents for my folks

My three daughters, their three daughters, my husband and their blokes 

By the middle of your month, my shopping was almost done

Driving to and fro from my hometown, to the city lights was interesting and fun

.. So my preperations for your festive season was well on the way

 I had ten of my close family dining with me on Christmas day

Well a big turkey with all the trimmings was our very tasty meal

Complete with tasty starters and puddings, we ate like Lords and Ladies I feel

I say Goodbye to your Yuletide as the days are rolling by

December you are leaving us in 2021 as the time does fly

Whilst your days has been dark, we have not had any snow

And I wonder if in January, that white stuff may make a show

But no doubt if it does, I shall take it in my stride

Joining in with my grandchildren, with their three sledges to slide

With only two days left to go, then December you will be done

In the blink of an eye 2021 shall be gone

Yet in my mindset, I shall not hold no regret

Only an apprehension for 2022 and what we will get ? 

So I bid you a fond farewell December, my faithful friend

As I sit penning my poetry, and you and I are coming to an end !!..
I thank you December for blessing me, with happiness and good health
