That were once out of reach.

Farewell to the tropics and the golden bay
Farewell to the smiling faces that lit up my day
Farewell to the island
And the glistening sand
Farewell to the lovers walking hand in hand.

Its waters so clear

And all those that held me so dear.

Farewell to the sun
That caressed and kissed my skin
Farwell to the smiling faces
That touched me from within.

Farewell to the waves
The never-ending sea
Every day I dived into you
Into crystal clear waters so blue.

Farewell to the palm trees and the blue sky
Every day you shaded me
Kept me dry
Farewell to the rocks and the stone
You kept me company when I was alone.

Farewell to the island
Farewell to all of this
I will never forget you
But in my heart
You you will always exist.
