Gin

So enticing like gin on hot lips,
She sinks ships with just one look,
Slips and slides,
Curls up inside of me,
Lies softly upon cotton clouded memories,
That burst and pull, fulfil dreams,
Of the innocent and the blind.

Sometimes I search for happiness,
Hang onto love,
Whatever I can find,
Whatever shapes it comes in,
Seduces me like gin.

Alcohol bursting in a bottle,
Bubbling to the top,
Deep down you know,
That once you take a sip,
You won’t be able to stop.
