F.A.T.

F.A.T
By Lauren Warner
She starts with F. a blade she sees, a failure she’ll forever be.
The A is next. Nobody will see the dripping blood between her knees
Lastly she slices the T, not good enough Is all she’ll be.
F.A.T written in her thigh, for a moment she was high.
Now she’s down next to me. An empty shell of what used to be.

Cutters...EMO...call them what you will.
People who practice cutting do so in order to make themselves feel something–anything!–which, to them, is better than feeling nothing at all.
Or worthless.
Perhaps even misunderstood...
and above all else, unloved.
This is short but a raw and powerful message as well.
Nicely penned.
Welcome to Cosmo, Lauren.
