Faults and Flaws

I know sometimes it’s hard to deal with me, 

But I comeback every fight and return to you faithfully, 

Though when I feel your eyes look in mine, 

You only see emptiness and anger inside, 

Ive made so many mistakes I’ll never atone for them all, 

I was ready to hang up like a phone until you answered my call, 

Dont feel empathy or thank me I’m just doing what I’m told, 

Life is far too short so please don’t expect me to grow old, 

I wish I knew a way to take your past pain away, 

But let me heal your future and start our own family, 

If we can’t have that then let our paths pass like the seasons, 

And take my heart with you since I can’t keep it.
