Poem -

Fear...

Fear is what hides within us

And festers like a deadly disease

An evil brought alive through thought

It can corrupt us with ease

Fear is a panther

Hiding in your shadow

Two yellow eyes affixed on its prey

It is the bringer of sorrow

Fear is what hides in the closet

Or even under your bed

The thoughts of monsters

And demons and the walking dead

Fear is irrational, a phobia

Of spiders and clowns

Of heights and death

The phobia of getting a frown

I cannot describe the terror of fear

The dark cloud within the mind

The drive to do unspeakable things

An evil that lurks in every kind

Long ago, so very long ago

I learned about the plague of fear

And I learned the weakness it displays

It can be conquered with just a single tear
