Poem -

The Fear I'm Under

Dark and black deeply wounded
Drowning in a sea of lost wishes
A downpour of missed dreams
Why is my cup always empty
Who can hold my hand
So close to death
The rattle is building in my throat
I swim up stream for a glimpse of light
But the hurricane comes and I am
Caught again in this whirlpool
One step forward ten steps back
Quicksand sinking fast
Please give me a hand and lift me up
I can not sift through this nightmare
The end is near release my fears
