Feeling Blue

I woke up this morning  feeling Blue
My head felt so heavy
I had the thinking Blues

I put on my coffee
And I rolled one too
I fumbled in the darkness for my black suede shoes

I've got the Friday morning Blues
And I'm sat here in my tight black sweater strumming the  Blues
I've got the Friday Blues
I'm rolling in the Darkness
And  a strumming the Blues

20 years ago today 
Was when the Darkness rode in and took you away
Your light was never to be seen
Taken like a figure on a movie screen

And though the times passed by
Every May I need to get myself high
I need to celebrate your birthday in the deep blue sky
Can't stop my tears from rolling 
Still I cry

Today is gonna be a drinking day

Your unwritten glory 
20 years on Earth have all gone by
I see your face in the clouds as I walk on by
