Feelings

Feels like I'm changing,
Through this world of unknown.
No longer sure of what makes me,
No longer sure of a home.

Amongst the crowds of people,
A different side of me is known,
And then in the shroud of darkness,
The emptiness begins to flow.

The smile I reveal is painted,
With a brush of faux happiness.
The ink is thick with this foreign emotion,
I display to hide the bleakness.

I feel I am changing, evolving,
Into a being I can't explain.
The feelings I feel are indescribable,
How I wish I could laugh one day.
