feminine mystique

How can we be so far away and still we touch?

This feeling excites and frightens me

All at once

As I sing in silence

The sonnet we live apart

I’m left with an obsidian chasm

In my cavernous heart

The fire in your eyes

Always set my soul aflame

Now your absence shatters my senses

But I know I was to blame

As I struggle to awake

From this emotional sleep

I hunger to imbibe the nectar

Of your feminine mystique.
