Pro-human

Pro-human

There was a time when women were suppressed by men's
oppression,

Silenced and kept as their possession.

Until victorious women came and voiced their greatest  question.

Putting this patriarchal society to shame, as they asked for a confession.

With the demands to go back to the place they found these 'claimed' expressions,

To read Mark's chapter 12:31, that tells us to 'love our neighbour as we love ourselves'

Then to read the line which tells us 'women are inferior to men'.

Oh wait, perhaps there isn't one...

Perhaps you need a new pen?

To write down how you have failed humanity again and again.

Or perhaps, to give to the 63 million young girls across the world that are denied education,
the pen so they can vote for hope, now and then...

Or perhaps you need to give back your own £20,000 which you spent on your own grand honeymoon and wedding ,

To the 15 million young girls who would rather a beheading,

Than to face another day forced into a marriage where they lose their virginity on a stiff piece of bedding...

Or maybe you just need to care.

That when you wake up in the morning,

1/3  women in the world, in that split-second, are experiencing sexual or physical violence.

Or maybe I'm wrong, maybe you do? Care.

Which is why men are three times more likely to commit suicide,

Because you do care about these gender inequalities which are screeching these expactions down your ear,

Expecting you to be the breadwinner, even when you feel like you can't win.

Or to act masculine,
as you fight in that boxing ring.

While the truth screams at your insides, consistently telling you that by suppressing us,
you're reppressing your true self

Creating inhuman expectations, which require emotion beyond thy-self.

And if these expectations are damaging your health, alongside ourselves,

then stand by us and give us what we both perhaps want...

The chance to be told that,

'this is your life, so you now you have the choice to say yes or no'.

So then perhaps, you won't need to give anything other than
choice,

So then perhaps...

you will understand that feminism is not anti male,

that in fact, feminism is pro human.
