The Fight (aftermath)

The Fight (aftermath)

Blood soaked my teeth and a heart laid in my hands

I stared into the crowd all of them had been in shock

I stand before the judge he looks at me with contempt

The old breath in his lungs clamoring at me in one quiet sigh

He lifts his golden scepter and points it at me

The chains were placed back onto me as I raised my hands for them

My job has been completed and I was to be placed back in chains

I smiled and asked for another chain to go about my neck

I looked forward to my enemy laying on the floor dead

Half of his body was missing and I laughed at it silently

I smiled at what I had seen for only I know what had transpired

I was waved off to return to my cell, the judge silently screamed at me

His eyes bearing down on mine and I let a chuckle slip from my lips

The chuckle turned in a laugh which filled the stadium I was held in

The judge leaped down from his throne and landed in front of me

We stood eye to eye and he whispered “You will die for what you have done”

I looked at him and laughed while looking away at my enemies body

It was being dragged away to be placed in the furnace

I looked back at the judge then said, “Hopefully you do a better job than him”

He smacked me and repeatedly beat me screaming “you will die”

It must have been 6 minutes before he relented and picked me up

Through the blood in my mouth and half of my back caved in

I looked at him and looked at my opponent being dragged away

I smiled with blood in my teeth, and spat on his robes

He reached up to smack my face once more but stopped

The whole crowd saw his fury against me, all for a simple act

The stadium was in shock the judge had never been caught showing emotion

At least until today.

I said to him in a low voice “Now they shall all see, I’ve won twice today”

I could see all of the anger in his eyes, I was told to return to my cell with no food

But I knew I would be filled with what I had been a witness to today

I laughed and began to walk back to the dungeon doors

The dungeon gates open and I walked back toward in the door

The audience was silent as I shuffled back to the doors

The guards rushed me to the door both sticking a sword in my back to move

My back hurt as the swords poked me, the pain from the fight and the beating

Both weighed heavily on my body, I stayed my feet and didn’t fall

The judge rose back up to his throne and looked at me walking

As the dungeon doors closed I looked back at the judge and yelled the words

“LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON…… FATALITY!  ”. After the dungeon doors closed I blacked out.
