The Fighter

You realize she's torn..
But you see something being reborn.

The beauty that attracts you is flaunted,
Then closer you see that she's haunted.

Forgive her mind when it seizes,
She's working with only cracked pieces.

Her heart is no longer a fiber,
The tethers are unwinding inside her.

Since you cant fix what you didnt break,
Just stand by her, and hold her, and wait.

Because when her heart does finally heal,
She'll need all of your love to feel real.

Then the new chords her own strength has sewn,
Will be ever constant as stone..

And no greater a love than a fighter,
That rebuilds herself, despite her.
