Fights

Headphones in my ears with music blasting,
Their constant fighting looking more like a play,
They argue like they hate each other, if only it were acting,
I wish they would sit down and learn to convey,
What they mean without all this shouting.
Their lips move but I can't hear them,
Pretending I'm reading at the dining table watching her hands move as she rapidly speaks,
And him throwing his hands up and walking away,
I can't turn the music up loud enough to drown it all out.
How is this love?
They always fight.
Everyone has issues like this but why can't they do  this when we aren't around,
Is it so hard to pretend everything is fine,
I do it for them,
Can they not do it for me?
It seems like a selfish request,
But for once it'd be nice to hear my music,
Instead of using it so I cannot hear them speak.
