Fiji Inn

Like 1 Pin it 0Good morning sunshineĀ
We are beating death todayĀ
The birds are singingĀ
And the flowers are dancingĀ
In the island breeze
This hotel is a shell of its former selfĀ
Once there were children in the pool
Now a concrete pit
The bar overtaken by woodrot
Sea, you are so stillĀ
Wind, calling out, then in ~Ā
Tree, palm coconut water lifeĀ
~~~~~
On the mountainĀ
Are the gravesĀ
Of the people who once workedĀ
Attending to the guests at the
Fiji Inn
I saw you dancingĀ
Like the ocean in your hipsĀ
The moisture of your lipsĀ
Under a smiling South Pacific moonĀ
~~~~~
Ā Sea, you are so stillĀ
Wind, calling out, then in ~Ā
Tree, palm coconut water lifeĀ

My Dear Brother Poet Jai,
As you have bathed in the beauties of Fiji for so many years, so do we in America, for the bottled water that comes from her core is the purest that our country has to offer, and we ingest it knowing that its unimpregnated goodness Ā will augment our longevity. Ā So I join you in your tears for the "Fiji Inn', that once thrived, but now is no more, and your great tribute to those dearly departed souls who were such an important piece of our great poet "Jai Masters" early life.
Peace and Love,
xox Larry
Fiji is a dream,Ā
come join me one day,Ā
we drink water in a moonlit skyĀ
under a thousandĀ stars;Ā
luv &Ā
thanks Jai:)
