Find the Sun

Wanderer
The sun had guided you
Far from the home you knew
And loved, when you knew how.
Now it sets, in your twenty-third year to earth
And widens with your eyes
At the birth of an end so final
A transition to the sound of birdsong
You left the world behind
Minds and hearts abandoned
Yours being no exception to the rule.
With the urna of consuming fire
Burning in your forehead
So blinding, so overwhelming in
the intensity of its insight.
Lost in yourself, strange child, far and further now,
From everything.

Now you'll never find the sun again.

Wolf, Carolyn....to receive such kind comments from incredible writers such as yourselves, means a whole lot more than I know how to lexicalise here. Thank you so much for the support. And I cannot tell you how much I love and admire Kahlil Gibran's work...stay awesome, my friends. :)

Hi Georgina, thank you so very much for your positive and encouraging words! Really brings a massive smile to my face and to my soul! I actually tried looking for that poem you wrote with the same title as this one of mine, but I couldn't find it. I would really like to see it if you could post a direct link for me?Ā
