Finding beauty in curves

Finding beauty in curves

Her feet ache
Her joints are sore
Her shirts lay stretched out
In a crumpled pile on the floor
Her face is red and chubby
Her tummy swollen and round
She never meant to be this way
And gain so many pounds
Awhile ago, she got really sick
And could no longer work
Now everyday on this couch she sits
Drowning in sorrow and hurt
The love of her life
Doesn't seem to look at her the same
In fact she sure he looks further away
With every pound that she gains
In the mirror, she calls herself names
Sick with regret and hate
Disgusted with herself
Everytime she stuffs her face
She wants to get better
She wants to get some help
She'll realize big is beautiful too
Once she learns to love herself
And if her man can't see that
Then he is the real fool
