FINDING ME series (poem: Self Happiness)

I have sacrificed my own happiness 
so that the people around me could be 
but that ends today 

I'm not going to sacrifice myself anyore
because now I know the only thing that can make me happy 
is myself 

I have to find the things that make me smile 
not someone but something 
so lets get my self happiness

I like the books with the fantasy in it
the ones with the deep, well thought out story line

I like the music that make me cry
the ones that make me smile when the words are sung in my ear 

I like the poetry I write
because it is a reputation of the true me
expresses my thoughts and feelings 

These things make me happy
